What is NY State MLS

New York's First Statewide Multiple Listing Service for Real Estate Professionals, but it is also useful for home buyers seeking a home in New York State.

• NY State MLS is a private MLS and you must be a licensed real estate agent or broker to enter your listings.
  
• A tool for Real Estate Professionals that allows them to share their listings with agents outside of their smaller county or regional MLS.
• A place for real estate professionals to enter all your real estate listings regardless of the county or region they exist in.
• A way for Real Estate Brokers to expand their business
• Another way to advertise your real estate listings - that expands the reach of the listings
• FREE for a basic membership (currently free for 1 year) So Advertise All your listings
  
• A search engine marketing tool for the Real Estate Professional that wants links back to their website (premium membership required for this feature)
• A lead router system and public profile of real estate professionals for premium members
• Allows property types that are not normally allowed on other MLSs - Business only listings and manufactured homes on leased land are allowed as well as all of the other property types.
• NY State MLS is needed, because New York Real Estate professionals need a way to share information with agents across the state at a low cost in an easy to use system. After all your license is good to sell in the entire state.

Now, for what NY State MLS is NOT:

1. NY State MLS is NOT a feed from the current MLS - many of our clients have a feed from the current MLS right on their web site and it is not our intent or intention to compete with that. Instead NY State MLS is meant to reach out to real estate professionals and give an agent full listing sheet to other real estate professionals. As for our public search that is mostly to sell the agent and their listings to the public, with a large box that brands the agent and their real estate company and web site and gives links back to the agents website.
2. NY State MLS is NOT yet a complete database - although it is growing quickly. Real Estate Professionals need to enter their listings into our database so it is not yet full, but as of this writing many real estate professionals have found it and they are entering their listings daily, so the database is filling up quickly. Many agents that have found us have seen the value of the adding their listings because they get to tell their clients that they posted them in the Statewide MLS, and they feature the listing on the home page to further bolster their listings.
